Baroque Works Infobox

Baroque Works

Baroque Works (バロック・ワークス Barokku Wākusu?) is a secret organization with more than two thousand members until it is exposed during an attempted coup d'état in the Alabasta Kingdom. Using code names, Mr. 0 and Ms. All-Sunday serve as the organization's president and vice-president respectively. Taking orders directly from them are thirteen male agents, who use the code names Mr. 1 through Mr. 13, and their female partners, who use code names taken from weekdays and holidays. The agents Mr. 1 through Mr. 5 and their partners are called Officer Agents and entrusted with only the most important of missions.[ch. 155] Mr. 1 works with Ms. Doublefinger (ミス・ダブルフィンガー Misu Daburufingā?), who can grow spikes on any part of her body.[ch. 160, 190] Mr. 2 Bon Clay, being a drag queen, serves as his own partner.[ch. 155] Mr. 3 works with Ms. Golden Week (ミス・ゴールデンウィーク Misu Gōruden Wīku?), an artist who can manipulate emotions using paint.[ch. 124] Mr. 4, who fights using a four-ton baseball bat, works with Ms. Merry Christmas (ミス・メリークリスマス Misu Merī Kurisumasu?), who can transform into a mole or mole-human hybrid.[ch. 160, 183] Mr. 5 can cause explosions with any part of his body, including his mucus and breath. His partner, Ms. Valentine (ミス・バレンタイン Misu Barentain?), can change her weight at will.[ch. 111f., 124]

 Arlong Pirates' Jolly Roger

Arlong Pirates

The Arlong Pirates (アーロン一味 Āron Ichimi?) are a pirate crew consisting mostly of fishmen led by Arlong and several officers: Kuroobi,[i] a manta ray fishman who uses "Fishman Karate", and Choo,[j] a Japanese whiting fishman, who spits water as if firing bullets, as well as Hatchan and Nami, who leaves the crew following its defeat at the hands of the Straw Hat Pirates.[ch. 69, 75, 93f.]

The Arlong Pirates were led by Arlong. Every member of the crew was a Fishman, except for Nami (who later left). They existed before the Sun Pirates, but joined with them when they were formed and after the death of Fisher Tiger, they split from Jinbe's crew, after he became a Shichibukai and became their own crew again. They believe they are above humans as the stronger species, looking down on them as an inferior species. After they were defeated, they were arrested. Mohmoo was never taken into custody and Hachi later escaped.[1] The crew is no longer active.

Alabasta Kingdom

The Alabasta Kingdom (アラバスタ王国 Alabasuta Oukoku?) is a desert climate island in the Grand Line ruled by Nefertari Vivi's father, Nefertari Cobra.[ch. ?] The nation's army, the Alabasta Royal Guard, is commanded by Igaram (イガラム Igaramu?), a man who fights with a saxophone that shoots bullets when played,[ch. ?] and guns hidden in his hair that fire when he pulls his neck tie.[ch. ?] Next in line after Igaram are Chaka and Pell, dubbed the strongest warrior of Alabasta. Other inhabitants of Alabasta include Vivi's childhood friend and later rebel leader Koza and his father Toto.

Original video animations

Three original video animations (OVAs) have been released in Japan. The first, One Piece: Defeat The Pirate Ganzack!, was produced by Production I.G for the Jump Super Anime Tour of 1998 and directed by Gorō Taniguchi.[46] It is 29 minutes in length and features character designs by Hisashi Kagawa. Luffy, Nami, and Zoro are attacked by a sea monster that destroys their boat and separates them. Luffy is found on an island beach, where he saves a little girl, Medaka, from two pirates. All the villagers, including Medaka's father, have been taken away by Ganzack and his crew as forced laborers. After hearing that Ganzak also stole all the food, Luffy and Zoro rush out to get it back. As they fight the pirates, one of them kidnaps Medaka. A fight starts between Luffy and Ganzack, ending in Luffy's capture. Meanwhile, Zoro is forced to give up after a threat is made to kill all of the villagers. The people from the village rise up against Ganzack, and while the islanders and pirates fight, Nami goes and unlocks the three captives. Ganzack defeats the rebellion and reveals his armored battleship. Now it is up to the Straw Hats to "Defeat the Pirate Ganzack!" and prevent him from destroying the island. The Straw Hat team include Luffy, Nami, Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky and Brook.
The second OVA, One Piece: Romance Dawn Story, was produced by Toei Animation in July 2008 for the Jump Super Anime Tour.[26][47] It is 34 minutes in length and based on the first version of Romance Dawn, the pilot story for One Piece, but includes the Straw Hat Pirates up to Brook and their second ship, the Thousand Sunny. In search for food for his crew, Luffy arrives at a port town, defeating a pirate named Crescent Moon Gally on the way. He meets a girl named Silk in town, who was abandoned by attacking pirates as a baby and raised by the mayor, which has caused her to value the town as her "treasure". The villagers mistake Luffy for Gally and capture him just as the real Gally returns. Gally throws Luffy in the water and plans to destroy the town, but Silk saves him and Luffy goes after Gally. His crew arrives to help him, and with his help, he recovers the treasure for the town, gets some food, and destroys Gally's ship. It was later released as a triple feature DVD with Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! and Tegami Bachi: Light and Blue Night, that was available only though a mail-in offer exclusive to Japanese residents.[48]
The third OVA, One Piece Film Strong World: Episode 0, is the animated version of the One Piece Manga Special called "Chapter 0" which shows how things were before and after the death of Roger. It is also the introductory chapter to the long-awaited tenth film, Strong World.
